I'd say lens flare.

When a bright source (in this case the Sun) is nearby I'd be very skeptical that a nearby bright anomaly is anything other than an optical artifact.

when you post your solar observations you refer to regions as (if I recal correctly) 1045 1047 etc - how are these identifiers created - what is the logical basis behind them? I have no doubt that they're established/accepted/real and therefore meaningful but I don't understand them - can you (or anyone) help?
