I observed AR 1084 over two days, on and off. Managed just three sketches on July 4th and one on July 5th.
Windy conditions and part cloud on both days, not ideal but I enjoyed the observing. Wish it had been clearer so I could put more details and more sketches in the sequence , but c'est la vie.
This hurricane like AR seems to offer no flares, little plage, a tight but changing pattern of fibrils lineing up along magnetic field lines . The sunspot itself is large and seems so far to not change shape very much at all.
