A slight kick in the nads is when... was created by Seanie_Morris
Fabulous evening's sunset watching the Belt of Venus with the Moon rise in tow. So, I thought why not get the Canon (camera) out and take a few shots with the 300mm? I duly got set up having spent a few minutes with the 10X50's first, and having to leave for work in about 5 minutes.

So I get all set up, rather quickly, ready for some clear, crisp lunar images of the Full Moon. Camera, tripod, shutter release cable, all check.

A slight kick in the nads is when you turn on the camera to take the picture, visually have everything perfect, and THEN realise that BOTH of your CF cards are in your work computer to lift images off of them for posterity!

I almost arrived late for work tonight...

Even worse when you pack up the car for a nights imaging, drive 1.5 hours and realise when you arrive that you left the power cable for the scope behind and its the clearest night in months.

or how about you bring your scope half ways across the country and realise that the mirror sling has loosened and you have no way of tightening it as you left your spanners at home, leaving the scope uncollimatable.... oh well....

or

someone decides he wants to help by moving your ladder and it has an eyepiece on the top of it, and knocks it off and it falls 8 feet, yea, major lip biting going on, especially after I said leave the ladder as it is.....
