M class flare today

Even though the Sun's suppose to be quiet, today it released a large M class solar flare along with 2 smaller C class flares. My SID monitoring station picked up the M class and C class flare from this afternoon. The Sun is very unpredicable at the momnent, while overall activity is quiet, 3 larges flares have been release in the last month or so.
