Look where Ganymed got to was created by JohnONeill
Hi,
Not Jupiter's moon!, but the asteroid 1036 Ganymed. I observed (and imaged) it when well north of the ecliptic in Cassiopeia, very near Gamma, the central star in the 'W' of Cas.
Gamymed is one of the larger Amor type asteroids. It will be even brighter next month reaching mag 8.3.

thanks john, I knew about it Sep 5, and searched it that evening, yes, easily found, and made an estimate of mag. 9.5 then.
