I don't have a working version of Starry Night so I can't check
the known popular Sat info.
Until then it'd be speculation on my part but
having read reports on the description of debris re entry,
it was most likely a Sat that flared something either tumbling
or else with two or more solar panels.
In any other instance I would have just said it was
an Iridium but the colour was the unusual thing,
reminded me of that bright golden/orange of the
Shuttle external tank when we saw it a while back.

Just checked SN for that time and there is nothing that sounds like what you described for Oct 15th 23.06 or + - 1 hour., so maybe it was a piece of debris, was it moving rapidly, for how long did you see it ?
As for ufo's.... :smashpc:

I stand much further than FRJ, and my time also seems very different, anyway, this object also has messages on other forums (despite also different timings...). Anyway, my object has same speed as the ISS and very solid (!) brightness (I should say around mag. 0), the only remarkable was the deep orange color! I followed it more than 20 seconds, it must have appeared already, but due to a hurry also did not look further after that.

Here's a diagram of where I saw it:

It was moving quite fast. About as fast as
the Shuttle & Ext tank the last time we saw them
pass over.

Perfect, thats a massive help for comparing against SN and I can confirm there is nothing remotely like it in SN for the times given, so it doesnt appear to be a satellite unless it was one of those secret military ones.
Another possibility is some sort of re-entry debris, but I assume you'd know what that would look like.
Roy and I saw one a few months back, it was like a seriously bright meteor which lasted 5-10 seconds, amazing sight but no way could you mix it up with an orbital satellite.
