Orange Satellite Pass

I checked the Heavens Above website, but cannot match what I saw with any of the major listed satelites.
This object traveled northwards over Monaghan Town at 21.20 on 6th November. It was approx magnitude -1.5 and what was unusual was its color which was reddish orange travelling at the same rate as the ISS and disappeared into earths shadow before it reached Ursa Major.
It was not a Chinese Lantern. Envisat was due to pass at 21:34 at magnitude 5.9
No idea what this was?
Anybody have an idea?

No doubt many will say it must be a lantern
but if you have seen satellite passes before
and lanterns then you'll know the difference.

Its curious, I've seen very similar to what you describe
on 2 occasions.
First sighting I posted here to see did anybody
have any ideas but aside from lanterns & ufo's
nothing solid in the way of satellites.
I also checked norads site and no joy.

It'd be interesting to work out
how high and how big a satellite
would need to be to reflect the sun
at that time and location.

as I mentioned also days ago, this is the very same I noticed...

Im no way an expert on Chinese Lanterns I dismiss that one out of hand and with quite a few years at the eyepiece and observed all types of satellite anomalies, but this was too "deliberate" and straight a free fall trajectory for a lantern or balloon, microlite etc , it rose from the horizon and passed "straight through" the "gap" between the Moon and Jupiter and disappeared before it reached the "pan" of Ursa Major as if entering the earth's shadow, which maybe indicates an orbital path.
As regards UFO's... not interested, never have been and never will.
The last time I saw anything remotely similar was an external tank from a orbiter launch about 2 years ago.

I've seen (& launched) enough Chineese lanterns
(especially over Halloween,) to be 100%
sure what I saw was a satalite, in fact the colour was exactly
like that of the external tank as you say.
