Lunar Eclipse 10-11 December was created by johnomahony
Despite most of the country being clouded out in one of the coldest (cold being relative ;) ) Summers in 45 years I managed to get a break in the clouds for last nights eclipse. It started at 11.45 local time here in Sydney. I was finally clouded out at 1.30am when the moon was very dark indeed and could not be photographed through the thin cloud. I took these shots through a WO72 refractor with a Canon 450D.

marvelous. Here we only could see the last shadow part (of course for us at the right upper corner) with the rising Moon very low above the horizon.

Fantastic I was following in in social media in various ways, then got a tiny view and a shot from Bray at 16:14 penumbra phase over the sea.
