Comet Garradd and M92 imaged was created by JohnONeill
Hi,

After a few cloudy days, skies cleared on the morning of 5th Feb 2012, Comet Garradd C/2009 P1 and globaular cluster M92 were still in the same field.

I got a very quick shot during morning twilight with the Pronto 70mm refractor.

Actually it was with the 106mm refractor at f/3.65 (not the Pronto).

Hi Dave,

Comet Garradd (C/2009 P1) is still with us. Tonight it lies less than 2 degrees NE of 3rd mag star Iota UMa, making it easy to find.

The comet is about 8th magnitude and fairly condensed, so you should see it if your sky is not too light polluted.

Try using different powers (low to medium) with your 101mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope.

Good luck.
