Gents,

Obviously old news now but here is my result of the recent Type IIP supernova in M95: www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-Supernovae-SN2012aw-20120320.htm ... at the time of the capture, I extracted a magnitude of 13.32 and which seems to have gone as high as 12.5.

It is my understanding that it has reached its maximum and is slowly starting to subside.

Anthony.

Hi

SN 2012aw in M95 is still pretty bright at about mag 13. It is well displayed in the late evening sky.

See Variable Star Nights for a recent image.

yea, we got good views of it and the galaxy last weekend at cosmos. I thought it would be fainter.
