Dobsonian mounted reflector no drive

= Mag 85X
Baader Astro Solar White Light Filter
Seeing varied between the fist sketch at 08:20UT Wilson Scale 2, second sketch 10:45 UT Wilson Scale 3, third sketch 13:41 UT Wilson Scale 2.5 and the last sketch
16:10 UT Wilson Scale 2.5 – 3.5
All sketches were done in between rain and hailstone showers, very windy most of the time.
I guess the rain cleaned the atmosphere a bit, sometimes it was so sharp . It was great to have an opportunity to see this awesome AR . The main spot changed its shape so much over the course of the day. The conditions were not good enough for me to sketch in h alpha.

Great sketches Deirdre. I was following this one with the PST at around 7pm that evening and it looked similar - though with less resolution on the small scope. Really massive active region! Hope to see more of it before it leaves us.

AR1476 is very interesting.
Biggest active region in quite some time.
Fascinating to see it constantly change throughout each day.
