Comet LINEAR C/2011 F1 continues to be visible as it moves south-west through Bootes. It is about 11th magnitude, with perhaps
a hint of a tail. It is still well placed high up in the evening sky, but each day the comet is descending in altitude and by October next it wiil be near the horizon.
Back on 2012 July 22 I imaged the comet with a CCD camera from my suburban location.
