Hi Aubrey, sounds like you had fun last night thats a good scope you have.
I was just checking Meissa on Simbad and maybe the A and B components are
not a physical pair, also the E component seems to share the same proper
motion so maybe they are a binary pair. It seems like you got a lot of
observing time this last year I think I only got 35 sessions in.
Pat.

Thank you, Pat, for your recent comments. 2 of my observing sessions were in Australia. But even if I was in Ireland, surely I would have had a few more to record.
However, I am amazed that A and B components of Meissa are an optical pair, even though they are very close in our skies.
I would think C, D & E are optical companions. Who knows?
Aubrey.

Aubrey, I would be suprised as well if the A B components were not binary
pair. Very cloudy here tonight and it appears for the next few nights as
well.

I see that my next trip to Sandymount could well be on Friday 18th January. The Dublin Sidewalk Astronomers are aiming to go down to observe the half Moon in the evening sky. I should have the opportunity to have a look at Meissa once again.
