Hi, double star lovers. Everybody knows about the famous double -double star system in Lyra. But how about the double -double star in Taurus. Their designations are Struve 7 and Struve 401. Struve 7 magnitudes are 7.7 and 7.8. Their separation is a big 43". Struve 401 magnitudes are 6.6 and 6.9. Separation is an easy 11". Both sets are a few arc minutes apart and are situated 4 or 5 degrees north west of the Pleiades -M45.
Check them out! I find them stunning! My scope has just split them both in the same field of view at 40X.

Aubrey.

Hi Aubrey, maybe I will get a look at those doubles later, we
have a bit of cloud at the moment.
