Io-Ganymede conjunction was created by Fermidox
Took advantage of a rare clear patch last night for a quick peek at Jupiter and, wow... the closest Galilean conjunction I've yet seen. So took a quick and not very good snap -



...with Io the more northerly, separation approx 5 arcseconds. Apparently the latest 6-yearly cycle of actual satellite occultations and eclipses begins later this year.
