Hi everyone Need a bit of help i have a celestron 130 gt which i picked up cheap a few months ago.
I,ve taken it out a few times and everything worked ok.
Last night while out i noticed the display was blank but the directional buttons were working as it was slewing where i wanted.
I have a funny feeling it could be the battery pack as it had only been charged that evening and within a few minutes it said it needed charging. Hope i don,t Need a new handset or maybe a new battery any ideas would be very grateful.
Val

Hi Val,
I don't believe that the batteries can be replaced.
You could email Stephen at Ktec for advice.
Michael.

The powertank batteries can be replaced easily enough. They are a standard size. I replaced the batteries in my Halford powerpacks (now 10 years old) with new batteries at half the price of replacing the units. I picked up mine from Battery World. Just remove the old battery and check the dimensions or bring it to a store and they can fit it for you.
Hopefully there is nothing wrong with the charger on your powerpack
