Eddie Rockets night-vision torches! :D was created by Paul Tipper
Brought my kids into Eddie Rockets for a burger the other day, and they gave us these cool Eddie Rockets pens - cool because they happen to have a neat red light built into them which makes for an effective (and very cheap!) night-vision torch! 
I think all you have to do is to buy yourself a burger (and be, or have with you, a kid), and they'll give you a couple of them for free, and with the batteries thrown in, too! 
I popped into my Stillorgan branch of ERs on the way up to Cloon Wood last night, and after asking them nicely, they gave me two more for free! They even come with a (gaudy) neck strap so you can just hang the pen/torch around your neck when observing - check it out!
