Trying to build a solar filter for my ETX-70. Anybody got any bright ideas?(sorry!)
Found a few on the web, but they dont seem to keep the film taught- surely this leads to a distorted image??

John O'Neil bought the Baader solar film from north Down telescopes, about 15-20 euro.

I bought a filter from Thousand Oaks filters. I actually bought it for the Lidl scope but it fits the ETX70 perfectly. I'm sure they have a set one for that particular scope if you ask them.
Alternatively see here www.scopetronix.com/etx60acc.htm
If you want to actually make it yourself, Baader Astro-filter, as mentioned, is perfect.
Good luck,
Daniel
