Hi all does anyone know if the lidl skylux scope will be sold again after the new year in january etc?

Lots of people ask this if they missed out on purchasing one originally. You could try writing to their Head Office in Newbridge. Or, check out the likes of the Buy and Sell, and hope at least one soul is not touting it for â‚¬100!!

There was a full pallet of them still in Athlone above a week after they went on sale. Not sure what's there now.

Thanks guys but my parents were lying when they said they were all sold out! Just got it from 'santa' this morning! Hope the skies are clear tonight to test it out!It looks the part at least! I was surprised how sturdy the mount is! Im sure youd pay 60 euro for the mount alone! Plus i just saw the exact same scope on a wabsite for Â£120 pounds STERLING! Have they never heard of those 4 magical letters that spell lidl? :lol:

Thats great Matthew.
You right about the mount, now that the tube is permanently on my 12" scope, I have modified the skylux mount to carry my 6" Mak, with the aid of a few more counter weights, it does the job surprisingly well.
