Amazing new gadget from Celestron

hi all,

just was looking at the Technology section of the BBC web site and ya gotta take a peek at this gadget Celestron unveiled at a show in Las Vegas (I think it was at the same show Meade announced their range of RC telescopes last January). Scroll a little down the BBC page to see what I mean!

A unique twist on GPS usage, it will be a great learning tool, I wonder what the price is?

Hmmm, I'm a bit dubious about this gadget to be honest, although I may be proven wrong.
OPT are selling it for $399. A bit expensive in my view but I suppose the price will fall over time.

Back in my day you had to learn the stars yourself, in your bare feet out on the frosty grass! These youngsters don't even know they were born!!

But seriously, looks like a great learning tool. Although the price would have to come down a lot before I'd consider one.
