I have the telescope house controller and the kendrick strap. I have to say Dave(s) that I find it fine. I ramp it up first and then bring it back to a minimum. I cant afford too much heat around when high res imaging - check out my last Saturn image taken in thick fog. I also use a due cap made from camping bed foam.

Eamonn,
I tried many materials for a homebrew dew shield and i also had many problems with sagging dew shield, so i finally bit the bullet and got a second hand meade dew shield.
It does a grand job, its abit heavy, I have it balanced out using the GEG + bits'n pieces.
