Dob. Drivers was created by Johnno
I see on another thread somebody mentioned a dob driver.
Does anybody know of a reputable system which is made or available in the UK. (I'm assuming they are not available in Ireland).
I'm strongly considering a driver for my 12" dob.
Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Johnno, the one I mentioned is the tech2000 dob driver. The system itself is great the real difficulty is the getting the mechanical aspects of the dob right.

the other option is more aimed at the diy market but is very effective. I'm retrofitting a 16" with one of these at the moment.

hope this helps.

Thanks for that Dave.
I think it's very technical and would be a serious project.
I read some reviews on the dob driver11 and it appears to be a proven
system.
I just wonder would I be better off technicaly and financially with a straightforward platform even if it might be restrictive on latitude. My objective is tracking not long exposure imaging.
Anyway Dave, thanks for thè links. More study....
