In only 2 weeks time, we'll all be heading to nicer shores for the solar eclipse, have people decided what equipment they'll be bringing??
To start the ball rolling, I'll be bringing a 4" f5 refractor on the skylux tripod, a canon 300D and a camcorder + a couple of eyepieces and solarfilters.

4" Mak with solar filter. 350D w 70-300mm f4 lens for photographing totality. Manfrotto tripod. solar Binoviewers and possibly a pair of binoculars too.
Well, imaging totality assumes that I can find some software to preprogram the camera to take all the exposure settings I want, so I only have to point the camera in the right place and hit the laptop.
Cheers,
~Al

Solar glasses John gave us on Thursday (Cheers John!), a pair of eyeballs each and swimming togs...
I'm gonna see this one au naturelle. I'd be all thumbs if I brought any photographic kit

Canon 20D with the Skylux 70mm telescope. Also the 17-40L f/4, 50mm f/1.8 mkii and 70-200L f/4 for general photography.
Olympus OM10 with 50mm and fisheye converter to give a 180* view. Also a 500mm f/8 catadiptric lens but I think I'll go with the wideangle for this eclipse.
Fuji Finepix4800Z.
JVC mini-DV camcorder with 10x optical zoom.
For visual use, I'll have the Meade ETX-70 and a pair of 10x50 binoculars.
When I have more money, I hope to add a PST to the collection. But then again, I'm weighed down enough as it is...
