ahh, I see. Given that the prices are comparible, I'd got for the williams optics scope, no contest.

ive looked at this scope to and the bigger 105 scope, seems both like great scopes for astrophotography. Have no plans to buy now just my wish list.

Thanks for the replies all, I was just wondering because I'm having a lot of trouble buying the celestron 80ed plus a goto mount from the uk, there are also a lot of orion and skywatcher scopes for sale of a similar class, and was considering them instead.

Personally, if astrophotography is thr main aim, I'd go for smaller aperture in a top quality true apo than a larger aperture in a less than perfect lens/cell/ota.
