Lidl still have one or two chairs left which are possibly suitable for telescope observing (adjustable heights etc.) for only €15 (Blanchardstown branch). They look eminently suitable, but are possibly a bit too heavy for field use, possibly more suitable for an observatory, or back yard use. Get 'em while they still have 'em.
I bought one recently in Gorey for €14. It is heavy - I doubt I'll take it out on field use as you say, just use it in my garden.
