Talked to Dave L on pm that im making a plexiglas wedge. He told me that it would be an interesting design. And i should post some about it on the forum.
So here is what i have this far (with images so that my bad technicaly english is easier to understand):
2 x 184x184mm plexiglas boards
1 x hinge
Later i will add a curve with radius 165mm and add "hand screw" on the base (on both sides) So it will be like this:
Any comments?

Looks mighty cool!
One question, will the blue knob be able to take the load of the scope without slipping?
Is the support on one side or two? if it's only on one side, the top plate will tilt sideways. It needs to be supported on both sides.
Just my 2cent.

Eirik - that's a nice design. But as Michael says, put a lock-down know on both sides of the wedge. You really don't want it to tilt at all.

It will be on both sides, the washer is made of plastic on the knob, if the curve is made of steel i think its good enough?
I was thinking of making the curve in plexiglass also, but then i dunno if there will be enough friction like you point out.
Got my dad here now he sais i should use locking washer just in case too.

Looks very elegant Eirik,
You should slip on a protractor near to hinge so you can get a good value for your latitude adjustment.
How thick is the plexiglas?, how does it react to a big load, will crack or shatter?
