Observing with Parallelogram Mount and 20x90mm Binos was created by Keith g
Hi all, Isn't it just typical that when some new gear arrives that it's cloudy for days Can't wait to try this set up out, This is a tripod and Orion Paragon binomout that I got from Telescope Service in Germany, can't recommend them highly enough! coupled with Strathspey 20 x 90mm binoculars with a 3.2degree field of view. There's a counter weight at one end, mobility in a sinch, the mount is reasonably lightweight, and stability is super.
It can turn 360 degrees easily, along with that, the binomount that can extend to an incredible 8ft high !!! so no problems for anybody using it. I've already used the binos just once on a lesser tripod, the view through these is really incredible
Has anybody else got a set up like this?? I'd be interested to know?

I recently took a peek thro' Liam Smyth's Celestron binos 20x100's on a similar but not so sexy mount recently at Jupiter. Nice setup, but planetry needs a good scope for detail.
For wide field viwing tho' that really looks like a nice setup. Hope you get a clear sky soon. Let us know how you get on.

Very nice Keith, I'd thought about getting big binos a while back but never got around to it,
