Everybody used to say that you need a Meade mount and the autotracking/autoguiding/imaging Envisage software that came with the Meade DSI and LPI for autoguiding. Well that is not the case as i recently found out. There are now other software compatible with the DSI, DSI PRO, DSI-II, and LPI which will allow these cams to autoguide even non-meade mounts with ST4 autoguider ports. PC connection to mount is achieved by using Shoestring Astronomy's GPUSB (USB) and GPTINT-PT (parallel port) cable adapters.
