Motorising a Super Polaris Mount was created by lunartic_old
I have seen a Super Polaris mOunt advertised that is reasonably priced and I am wondering if it can be motorised? I have a Tal 4 inch refractor on an EQ mount that can't be motorised, I wish to begin some astrophotography and the TAl's optics are very good. Any help?

Isn't the Super Polaris Mount a little over the top for a 4 inch reflector? Just curious! What price have you seen it at lunartic? A similar EQ3 mount should also do the job??

I've seen it advertised for €169. It might seem too much, but it gives me the option of mounting larger scopes in the future.

Thats not a bad price really. I thought it would be quite a bit more. Perhaps I'm thinking of the wrong mount...

Hey Keith

I can't show a picture but it's on sale at a certain store in Artane, go to their website and click on their summer clearance sale and there you'll find it under accessories. Chances are there's no tripod to go with that and it's second hand, but that's not too bad.
