Wow. Ye gotta see this. A review of the RCX20
I wonder how they'll manage to get that into their dome (see pic at bottom)?

Anyone got $30,000 to spare and a forklift to move it?

it looks very nice but it would be overkill in this country as you'd have to have it permanently mounted. theres no way you'd get that down in time in a sudden rainstorm. for that amount of money i'd expect some pretty good quality though, from the review it seems to have it. i'd like to see how it compares to RCOS or something like that.

Yep, I hear ya. It just amazed me that a 20" cat would be that size. It's a monster.
Actually I think 8 inch is as far as I'd ever go and the 90mm gets far more use at the moment, particularly with the squalls we're getting now. Too easy to get caught out
as they say, the best scope is the one that gets used the most.

If I had 20k to soend on a mount and scope, I personally wouldn't buy it. There are plenty other options out there.

Michael,
You're slightly underestimating the cost of this scope. $39,000 according to the Meade web site, so it'll be a lot more than €20k over here.
It's gas that the Max mount has a quick release dovetail, yes just to sort of thing you need when you want to quickly change out the RCX20 for your RCX16
Regards
