Anyone know where I can buy binoculars in the Wexford area? I think they are sold out in Lidl, so is there anywhere else?

Thanks

Thanks Trevor,

The lidl website only shows whats available up to the 18/12. Is this information available elsewhere and do you know what model is for sale?

Hi Ronan

The info was on lidl site as per link above, but they removed it. The binocs are a pair of bresser 10X50's.

Cheers

It sometimes happens that a page is visible 2-3 weeks in advance. I saw it before they blocked it off.

The set in question are Bresser or Meade 10x50 porro prism binoculars. They are about the biggest that can be hand-held comfortably for an extended period and the price listed was 17.99.

You can pay much more for a set of binoculars if you wish but you'd have to go really upmarket, to something like a Nikon or other high-end brand. I have a Meade set bought at Lidl for 20 euro and a set of Bob Optics bought at the Astronomy Shop many years ago for three times as much and I honestly cannot tell the difference.

Ronan, I would highly recommend the Celstron 15x70's available in Argos for 130Euro, you can even order them on the net. Great value!

You could also buy a pair in any camera/pharmacy shop, but the qulaity is not the same

Keith..
