Lumenera help needed was created by carlobeirnes
Hi all,
Has anyone got any idea how long to do an RGB on saturn .or any info on doing imaging with Lumenera. I came across this site but not much on doing LRGB.

Hi Carl,

I was thinking of doing the same with my B&W cam but didn't in the end because the maximum recommended time for Saturn imaging is 180 seconds. I'd have to seriously limit the amount of frames if I did & the extra expense of a filter wheel wouldn't be worth it for one object (as I couldn't go even nearly that long on, say, Jupiter); Only 5fps uncompressed on my modded webcam I think.

Mind you, with the huge fps of the Lumenera cams I guess it wouldn't be a problem with yours. I guess it would just be a case of capturing an avi for each colour and using Registax to combine & stack them?
