You can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be lead

The Red eye glasses by scopestuff in the states are getting great reviews on the Cloudy nights site. Basically you put them on prior to going out to observe, potter around the house getting all your stuff ready and your eyes are dark adapted 1/2 hour after putting them on. Once you keep them on they also prevent white light from destroying your dark adaption. The cloudy nights link is

Has anyone seen them on sale this side of the atlantic, as i'd like to buy a pair just to try them out.

Can you see yourself walking around the house, washing the dishes, or watching telly, with these on before going out?
Maybe... if I was on my own!

Better that old people should die of talk than to have young people die in war.

I'm too old not to look foolish if I wore specs like Bono's. It would look as if I was trying to be cool
