Piggyback platform for LXD75 was created by wellbuttie
Hi Folks,
Having quite a it of fun with the new 350d at the moment, however, I wish to experiment with longer exposures which will require the camera to be piggyback mounted on the Tube rings of the LXD75, 6 inch newt.
Has anyone got any "economical" ideas for mounting the camera on the scope? There are what appears to be mounting holes on the top of each of the tube rings.
I was thinking of getting a tilting piggyback bracket and perhaps cutting a piece of durable wood, attaching this piece to the tube rings, bolted through to the ready made mounting holes in the tube rings, and then mounting the piggyback bracket on to this.
Any ideas would be very welcome.
Best regards
Steve

Have a look in the Links forum for some websites with tips. Of best use is probably one of Mike Weasner's sites.
