Binoculars

I purchased a pair of 10x50 binos a couple of years ago. Bresser make from what i recall - bought them from AI. I find them fairly good and am fairly happy with them. There is one small thing with them that annoys me a little bit. They fall out of focus very easily. No sooner have you them in focus but you have to hold onto the middle focusing screw/dial in order that it doesn't rotate and defocus on you.
Anyone else experienced this? Anyone got any ideas how to rectify it?

Nope, I have the opposite problem with my binoculars, to tight!

Sounds like something that can be solved with the right application of a screwdriver though

I was beginning to think the same thing myself Albert....at least now i have someone to blame if it all goes wrong!

I took off the tripod adaptor cap. Behing this lies a large golden-coloured bolt which has a small screw in it. I removed the small screw. However, I can't seem to turn the large bolt. Any ideas??

On my own binoculars (15year old Sirius &x50), there is a screw in the mid section of the binoculars which holds the 2 eyepiece section onto the binocular section, if this is loose, the eyepiece section can twist so they loose focus, is this what you're experiancing ???
either thast or remove soome greese fomr the focusing mechanism
