I've decided to focus on wide angle imageing for the mo. All going well, I hope to build a little dob later in the year for deep sky stuff - visual use only. Need to do a little more saving first though.

In theory yes....but how many mounts would I have needed to make use of them all!the 12" of aperture are also a good thing to have since it helps with smaller objects and at the same time it permits for better signal.

Michael,
Does you mount allow for a 12" as the primary scope as well as the TEC piggy-backed? Unfortunately I do not remember what the weight capacity is for the Gemini.

That's a very nice and reputable piece of equipment there Michael.
May it serve you well over the on coming Summer season.
I'm a small bit surprised you went down in aperture, but given the long focal length of the 12" , imaging with this scope should be more fruitful.

Dave i think a 12" APO refractor would be a bit over budget!
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .
