Hi Marty! yes the skyliner is a very good scope! IDEAL for a starter! Fab views can be gotten with dobs!

cheers matthew, so would you recomend i go for this 1 or something else i really want 2 see the planets in good detail... i mean will this scope do the job for everything..planets, galaxys etc... and i dont really want 2 be upgrading to other scopes all the time. i just wanna have the 1 good scope which i can build on with various eyepieces etc... thanks m8

I think alot of other people have this scope on the Boards! Ive seen through one once or twice(an 8") and the views were very good! There nicely priced for the aperture!!! That looks like the best price you could get it at new!!! Ive seen it at £400. The only thing is in strong winds it hard to view! If it was free shipping that would be great. Somehow i think thats only in Britain
