Can anyone recommend a good reticle eyepiece for training of the drives, allignment and centring of images onto ccd.

I found this one quite good. Great for a drift align anyway.

I got mine from telescope warehouse - he doesn't seem to have them anymore though.
Much much cheaper to order these from the US. I think I paid about $70 or mine, but I've noticed the same EP rebranded popping up from quite a few UK vendors for twice the cost.

I have the meade 12mm astrometric eyepiece and its perfect for centering images in the FOV. It also has a graduated scale for determining double star separation distances and lunar terrain size. It comes with a battery powered led for illumination,so I modified it to run off the scopes power instead.
The below is a site that shows all the meade ones, the astrometric one is the 3rd one down.
