I was just in Maplins in Limerick. They are selling an aluminium airline case complete with cubed foam for €25. Ideal for eyepieces, cameras etc..

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

They are not quite the same. The Maplins box has small cubed foam (1-2cm2) which can be removed and the top lid has the "egg carton" foam across it. Its more like one of the Orion eyepiece cases. The Lidl box is a tool box format.

I use the Maplin one for all my eyepieces and its grand.
Keep an eye out also in B&Q.
I picked up a set of 3 flight cases (tool cases they call em) for 30 euro.
Now all I need is a load of astro kit to fill them with!

I have two of them and they are already full of stuff (mostly eyepieces, heaters and cables for the CGE and LX10). They are surprisingly easy to fill
Damn haze has just moved in after just aligning the CGE. Arrrgh
