I apologise in advance..... was created by paulevans
.... for the effect this is going to have on the weather, but I now have two new 'scopes for the price of one
How did I do that then???
Well, I started with this....
And this lot....
And ended up with this....
And this....
And it's the work of a couple of minutes to change the 'scope from one mount to the other - one for observing, one for photography.
Now if someone could just sort out the weather! I'm hoping for first light tommorrow!

Nice setup Paul !
Which type of mount did you end up with?
There is a lot to be said for a quick grab and go scope and a more serious set up when you have time for photography (especially with our weather )
Best of luck with the new gear.

Congrats with the new scope Paul, hopefully you'll get a chance to use it soon enough, maybe in Birr next weekend?

Congrats on the new setup(s) Paul. Pity it's raining though.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

Whatever do you mean Matthew?
Anyway, a lovely double set up there Paul, you're getting the best of both worlds, a scope for the grab and go, or possible grunt and puff, and for the longer computerised sessions.
Congrats.
