Don't they! Certainly must be a hard wood, yet they look like they're made from pine.

Interesting scope.
The legs on the mount look somewhat "delicate" though....

Carrying around my 20" obsession is going to kill me,
but what a way to go.
+ 12"LX200, MK67, Meade2045, 4"refractor

well, this guy is a master carpenter so I guess he knows what he's doing.
I remember the article in sky&telescope that he refers to where a clever trick in the design eliminates astigmatism induced by the off axis mirror system.
I'd be very interested in seeing through such a scope.
He makes these scope to order so if you want one of these, then he's the man!.
There eyepiece position mimicks a SCT or refractor, the real drawback is the cost of 2 big mirrors and the long focal length.
