Just watching match of the day on tv. yea I occasionally watch foreign football :-)

Anyway, seems that Drogba complained to the 4th official about a green light in his eyes during the game. Looked from the footage a lot light some idiot was shining a green laser at him.

Oooh, that will be taken very seriously.

OTOH, i'd say he was just 'green' with envy when he looks up and sees magnificent Arsenal top of the pile 8-)

Al,
During the rugby world cup I saw several instances of the green dot of a green laser on the ground around several scrums. Those idiots (the ones with the lasers  ) will get, what is an excellent educational tool, banned from sale altogether.

Soon they'll be on the banned items list to stadiums along with aerosols, guns and knives. You'd hardly think those green lasers were a threat, but they do carry quite a sum of radiation, and prolonged exposure into the eye(s) will deteriorate seeing.

No long speaches from me on this one but as you say it is only a matter of time. Lets hope it's not a general ban that would affect amateur astronomers at football matches

*sigh* it really does just take a few idiots to ruin things for everyone.

Lets hope all green lasers are not banned because of these muppets.
