Hi John,
A big thanks for letting me know the photo has been published! Here is a neat sequence from the same session:
(1) www.perseus.gr/Astro-Lunar-Scenes-Parthenon-01.htm
(2) www.perseus.gr/Astro-Lunar-Scenes-Parthenon-02.htm
(3) www.perseus.gr/Astro-Lunar-Scenes-Parthenon-03.htm
This sequence took just over a year to finalize with the great dynamic range involved being a serious issue and challenge. The next such opportunity according to my calculations is Dec/2008 and I hope for a slightly better result since the moon in my existing sequence is a tad overexposed.
My next target is the grounds of Ancient Nemea and the Temple of Zeus. Here is a taste involving one of my analemmas: www.perseus.gr/Astro-Solar-Analemma-140000.htm .
So much to do and so little time!

Antonius,
To paraphrase the ancient Romans:
"Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes stellarum."

John
Better that old people should die of talk than to have young people die in war.

Or to paraphrase a more recent wise dude;
"Sine labore nihil" - Nothing without hard work.
Many congrats from me Anto. I just saw the presentation in PA and it looks great. I see they published one of your knitting patterns too
Well deserved my friend.

Gentlemen,
A sincere thanks for the kind words!
Dave, are you doing the Russia thingie next summer? I just checked Travelocity and I see fares for $1004 for Athens->Moscow->Novosibirsk with return. This figure translates to about 720 euro.
I also checked for departures from Dublin but do not see anything. Perhaps you can make it to Athens and we can all leave together.
