Eyepieces for 10" Dob was created by Heebyjeeby
I am just about to buy a GSO 10" Dob from Telescope-Service in Germany. TS seem to be favoured by a lot of people here, prices seem very good.
The scope comes with a 2" WA 32 mm eyepiece (39x), nothing else. What other power eyepieces would be useful (if any)? Budget will only allow me to buy in the 1.25" TS plossl range. Would a barlow be useful as well?
Incidentally, am I right to assume the optics of the GSO and the Skyliner equivalent are both of the same standard?

Hi,
If I could only get one other eyepiece, i 'd get a 15mm plossl, if its 2, then say a 20mm and a 9mm.
TS are very reliable with a good service history.

I echo Dave's size recommendations heeby. That becomes a good range of EP's to have (32mm, 20mm, and 9mm).

Me too, He's spot on. A 15mm Plossl is the perfect single eyepiece to get, and even a cheap Barlow will give you the 7.5mm option too.
