Tom,

My only concern with the side-by-side scopes is that you limit your range of movement as objects approach and pass the meridian and which will impact your total exposure time. Yes, you can proceed with a meridian flip but you still have limited your range of movement and coverage.

It's kind of a trade off between range and flexure. And to me range of motion wins out.
