Just looking for advice. Just recently the lever (RA or DEC...not too sure which it is) that sits under the scope barrel has stopped working. The other one works fine. In fact better then fine as i see it. Before when i was tracking objects i had to move both levers in conjunction with each other. NOW.............i only have to turn one (the working one) and it tracks perfectly (left to right,up and down). Basically just by turning this one lever i can follow objects as the move up and across the sky. Is this normal? should i be able to track using just one of the levers?
Is the scope knackered or finally working perfectly?
The one facing backwards is not working. The one facing out sidewards is.

Thats how it should work. If the scope is even roughly polar aligned you will only need the right ascension knob. If it's not even roughly polar aligned you would need both.
So I'd say everythings just fine:)

Thanks for the help.
I feel better now.
Now if only the clouds would clear.
