lens repair was created by albertw
Hi,
Does anyone know where in Dublin I can get a camera lens repaired?
I have a lens, that does not appear to `travel` far enough to reach infinity, ie when you turn the focus the furthest it can focus on is about 5 meters away.
There is nothing obviously broken with it so I think I just need someone who has the right tools and knows what they are doing to take it apart and put it back together again correctly. It has never worked right.
Cheers,
~Al

Everyone in Ireland buys Meade, and they all buy them from Lidl.

You could try giving
Bermingham Cameras
a call. I was there today and they seem very helpful.
Also, they are a Nikon service center (not sure what make of lens you have, but Bermingham seem to deal mainly in Nikon and Canon)

Your best bet for camera repairs is Alan McDonnell .He is in the building opposite Portobello House. It's called Photographic Repairs. He certainly is not fast, due to work pressure but he is good and reliable.
Hope this is helpful,Tim
