where to get a bracket to attach a camera on top of a scope? was created by fguihen
Hi all.
Im looking for a bracket to mount my camera on top of my scope for widefield images. Ive searched google but cant find such a bracket. Half my problem is i dont know what it might be called. Can anyone recommend a bracket that will firmly hold any camera with a threaded base, to my telescope?

exactly that!!! thanks for the info. Does this bracket require any modification of the scope ( drilling of holes etc)?

As far as I know, and I am no expert in this, you detach one or more of the screws that attach the rear cell to the scope body and use the screws provided with the piggyback mount to attach it to the scope.
As far as I know so I am prepared to be shot down in flames.

usually you have to remove some of the screws on the back of your scope and put them through the piggyback mount. you'd want to check with david hinds though to see if this one would fit your scope though.
