what can i do with this Gear?? was created by rossa
Okay folks this is the gear I use. The camera being the most exspensive. What way can I attach the panasonic camera to the scope..(maybe I cant?) Here is detailed review on the spec of my camera...please read...
www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicfz5/
maybe its totally unsuitable but its has a great zoom range. and i have lense adapeters fish eye and X2 tele lenses to increase the range. It just looks totally incomaptibe with my scope..
Meade ETX 70 AT
I also have a web cam www.everythingusb.com/microsoft_lifecam_vx-6000.html
I have had some sucess with this but not alot. What should I be aiming to do or get that will start me into astrophotography properly. Without breaking the bank. I just had all this stuff before I given the scope as a gift so I would like to know if it can work??

i have the panasonic FZ5 also and have serious doubts on its usefullness in astrophotography. Its notoriously noisy at anything above ISO200, and i find even that is noisy. its a great camera for holidays and what not, but not for night time shots. The problem is you will need high ISO values during astrophotography to make your camera as sensitive as possible to the small amounts of light available. Someone wiser than me may say im completely wrong with my opinion on the FZ5 and im happy to be corrected

Usually a DSLR/SLR camera is the best for astronomy, not sure what you can get with that Panasonic camera, maybe eyepiece images of the moon ?

The only 2 cents I can add for that Panasonic camera in relation to astrophotography is one word - projection (through the eyepiece of your telescope or binoculars!). Holding it to the eyepieces is about as technical as it's going to get with a camera like that.
