new scope today was created by dmolloy
Yahoooo, well nearly! I just made a visit to Carl this morning in the astronomy Ireland shop in Dublin and bought a 10" Starhopper Dob. Would just like to say Thanks to Carl for his assistance. I know there has been a lot of discussion on this forum regarding prices paid in ireland for scopes (but not to start that discussion again) I would just say that I did my research on prices around europe and I purchased the scope for a price below that :D I also bought a box of celestron bits and bobs and (eyepieces) got a deal on those too. Looks handsome set up in the kitchen

now all I need is a clear night to road test the beast.

well if it's clear there, then it must be just a cloud following me all day. Anyway, shur id only scratch it putting it in the back of the van :?

By the way, I used the collimation ring that came with it and adjusted the secondary mirror so it was centred in the image - hope i did the right thing
